Did your pet ingest something? Call PET POISON CONTROL at 800-213-6680. They will provide advice if you have a medical emergency or not. Be sure to have the information about what was ingested and be sure to get the case number so we can call and receive the treatment protocol. Please note there is a fee not associated with TVC/EVC, however in most cases of ingestion it is necessary to call to obtain treatment and you will be responsible for this fee. This may also result in not having to come in once you have speak to the Pet Poison Control as they may advise you to not seek ER. 

AFTER HOURS EMERGENCY VISITS are shared between Escanaba Veterinary clinic and thompson veterinary clinic. This will require you to drive to either location depending on who is on call.
 ** NOTE ** Emergency visits ARE LIMITED TO Thompson veterinary clients, escanaba veterinary clients and tourist visiting the area. if you are a client of another clinic please call that facility and follow their directions for after hours emergency.

HOW TO REACH US:

call the regular phone number of EVC or TVC and you will be redirected to the on call answering service for the facility on call.  The call center will obtain some information from you and will then contact one of the doctors from either EVC or TVC with your request for assistance.
Example #1: you may call for emergency services on a Saturday night, speak to the after hours answering service for EVC, and be put in touch with the after-hours doctor from TVC who will arrange to see your pet in Manistique.
EXAMPLE #2: you may be calling TVC and be directed to one of the veterinarians from EVC who will arrange to see your pet in Escanaba.

No, Animals that require 24-hour monitoring or specialized care may be referred to a 24-hour emergency clinic in Green Bay, WI.

If you use TVC for your horses, livestock or other "farm animals", please be advised we have limited availability for ambulatory emergency farm calls. If you need a large animal veterinarian after hours you will be directed to Thompson Veterinary Clinic for haul in services in Manistique. there may be some weekends that we do not have a doctor available and in that case we will provide you with the closest facility available.
